A candidate for this examination must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st August, 2022, i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1990. However, for Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Subcadre of Central Health Services, the upper age limit must not exceed 35 (thirty-five years) on the aforesaid cut-off date.

How to Apply
Candidates can apply online for the UPSC CMS exam through their official website. There is not any other mode to apply for this exam. Online registration is divided into two parts. In part-1, candidates fill out the form with their basic information. In part-2, candidates first log in with their basic details. After that, they complete their form-filling by paying their application fee.
The selection process of eligible candidates for the UPSC CMS exam is in two rounds. There are two written exams of(250-250)500 marks in the first round. The second is of personality test containing 100 marks.
In round one, candidates will be shortlisted according to their marks on paper-1 and paper-2. After that, shortlisted candidates will call for their personality test or interview for their final selection.
